Marquette County sheriff's deputies arrested Tyler Paquette on Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Ishpeming Township on charges that include assault with intent to murder.
Paquette, 35, was taken into custody without incident, myUPnow reported. He was lodged in the Marquette County Jail, according to WNMU. Bail is to be set at his arraignment. No arraignment date has been announced.
The arrest followed a search that began after the 96th District Court of Marquette County issued a felony warrant for Paquette in connection with a domestic assault in Ishpeming Township in August. The Marquette County Sheriff's Office had asked the public for help locating Paquette and warned residents not to approach him or attempt to apprehend him.
The sheriff's office described Paquette in its public alert as 5 feet 7 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Paquette faces six charges, according to the sheriff's office:
- Assault with intent to murder
- Unlawful imprisonment
- Two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder
- Domestic violence, third offense
- Interfering with electronic communications
The charge sheet is more serious than earlier reports indicated. The Mining Journal and WZMQ had described the original warrant as covering domestic assault and unlawful imprisonment. The updated charges add assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder.
No details about the August incident have been released by the sheriff's office. The victim has not been publicly identified.
The case will proceed through the 96th District Court. No official statement from a named Marquette County Sheriff's Office spokesperson has been released beyond the original public alert.
